Donors Choose

http://www.donorschoose.org

~ (Here is a notice about this site from our recent union president. Rock Island EA members reported fantastic response to their requests to the Donors Choose website! All the requests were funded in just 24 hours! Kirk Humphreys received funding for a $417 digital camera for his classroom. Nikki Melody received whiteboards for hers. Steve Inman is the record holder. He wrote a grant for iPods for his self-contained special ed classroom students, and it was fully funded just three hours after his request was approved. All these recipients are so excited about this program that they have told many of their colleagues, and have written additional grants for their own.
